I am sure glad that I didn't go gallivanting after work today cause train services from Marina Bay to Braddell and vice versa are down. That's the normal route that I always take home from work. But I wish I have been there to witness this scene
Oh lordy. Somebody actually smashed the door cause the ventilation was pretty bad. It must be somebody from the middle carriages. Some people commented on Facebook that the person should have just pushed down the emergency doors at the two ends of the train. Sure. That will just help the people in the last end carriages anyway. Keeping in mind how crowded it can be during peak hours, do you think air will circulate equally into the other, specifically the middle carriages? So yeah, I don't blame the person who smashed the window.
Or maybe he just got fed-up with how pathetic Singapore's transport system has become so he vented out his frustration at the door. Poor guy. Can't blame him.
But seriously, I think the poor SMRT transport system cannot take the load of trains running every two minutes. It is high time for the North-South Line to break down with the high frequency of trains running through it each day. I get the feeling that the SMRT rail tracks are not meant for heavy usage anyway. It was first built in 1986...(I think?) when Singapore's population wasn't as crazily high as it is today. Tsk. While I am it, I think that there are a alot of resources in Singapore which cannot sustain our crazily high population nowadays *cough*housing*cough*transport*cough*medical care*cough*space constraints basically goddamit*cough*
Ehem...excuse me. I don't know why I have a coughing fit all of a sudden.
So anyway, icing on the cake will be that the East-West Line broke down as well while I am on my way to work tomorrow. Then I will be late, having to jostle with people for whatever free shuttle bus or exorbitant taxis to get to work and ladida, tomorrow my other colleague is on leave so I have to open the workplace and if I am late, then woe is to the people waiting. Muahahaha.
Ok I'll shut up.
